Heaven’s Door

We set out as intrepid adventurers in a mysterious land, willing to take in all that our senses could absorb.  Two sisters on a voyage of laughter and discovery, filled with anticipation and a healthy dose of apprehension.  Visions of the Serengeti’s cheetahs, wildebeests, elephants, and rhinos change our perceptions into reality in unbridled wonder.  Childhood memories flowed between us like aquatic creatures waving in a chorus of coral blues and emerald greens.  We shared thoughts of our mortality, as well as lives lived, with understanding passed with clairvoyant ease.  Be happy my dear sister, for we have truly fulfilled a dream of a lifetime.  We have lived. We have loved, and we have danced with tribal abandon.  Know that I am at peace, as I am in heaven with the door shut.
