Description
This unique two piece sculpture combines the beauty of a windswept pine, the sweeping colors of a brilliant Canadian autumn and the strength of a stone monolith. The Pincher Rock originates from Pincher Creek in southern Alberta, where disputes arose over gold claims in the 1800’s. Its subtle tones allow the dark roots of the tree to contrast as they cling to their delicate outcrop. The pine with its two tone green boughs bends in the wind to reveal a harvest moon floating in a vibrant sky. Active waters below the island swirl about seeking their own pathway as they are guided by the autumn wind.
