This collector piece is one out of a growing edition that I started creating in 2016. You will notice that the edition number and the artist’s signature is engraved on the back of the canoe, so as more pieces are created in the Canoe Series in the future, the lower edition numbers will translate to an increase in value with the passage of time.
Calm waters reveal inverted images of crimson and emerald hues in playful juxtaposition. Reflect on your role in this dual reality. Be steadfast in your dreams, but mindful of others on your journey of inclusion and compassion. Remember to seek only the beauty in others, as you reflect and enjoy the tranquillity of Mirror Lake.
The Autumn leaves shiver with excitement. The Pines bow to the winds as they whicper their secrets. A distant Loon laughs in reply to the whispering winds, and the stoic Granite remains silent knowing it is the foundation of all that is Muskoka magic.
This island oasis shelters us from all distractions. Far from constant connectiveness and worries brought on by leaders with misguided direction. We rejoice in the blessing of this place, and give thanks in the knowledge that we are truly alone.
