Early snow brings pause to all who ply these waters. The call of geese overhead reminds me of the passing season, and the gentle approach of the next. Memories return to summer morns, and carefree paddles on mist shrouded lakes. Without the return of melting warmth, we are only left awaiting spring.
This collector piece is one out of a growing edition that I started creating in 2016. You will notice that the edition number and the artist’s signature is engraved on the back of the kayak, so as more pieces are created in the Kayak Series in the future, the lower edition numbers will translate to an increase in value with the passage of time.
The Autumn leaves shiver with excitement. The Pines bow to the winds as they whicper their secrets. A distant Loon laughs in reply to the whispering winds, and the stoic Granite remains silent knowing it is the foundation of all that is Muskoka magic.
We stand together through times of joy and accomplishments, as well as through hardships and seemingly unrelenting grief. Continue to support each other as members of the world community, and we will endure with renewed strength and love.
