Island Dreams

This one of a kind sculpture combines the strength of a windswept pine contrasted against a vibrant autumn tree line.  A number of white birches surrounded by the calm waters below, seem to be embraced by the stronger pine as they hold firm to their granite base.  The pink granite originates from the Utterson area in the heart of Muskoka.  Its subtle tones allow the dark roots of the pine to contrast as they make their way to the sustaining waters below.  All of these elements combine to create an island setting that dreams are made of.
