Description
This is the 13th sculpture in my Kayak Series. You will notice the edition number and my signature engraved on the back of the reddish-orange, glass kayak. It is one out of a small edition of twelve that I started to create in 2016, and Number 13 was made in October of 2024. The twelfth kayak in the series was the first to include a loon appearing to swim in the foreground and I have continued that trend here with a loon swimming with the prevailing winds. I hope it brings back memories of paddling on your favourite lake or river whenever you view it. The stone that I selected for this piece comes from beautiful Lake Temagami in Northern Ontario. The sculpture really “comes to life” when placed by a window.
