Labrador Winds

Instincts of a predator adorned in ivory hues move him slowly from one stone monolith to the next in search of sustenance. Fur ruffles on caribou shoulders as heads turn in haste at the first sign of danger. A snowy owl stands in silent remembrance of a good friend and mentor who lives on in our memories and the dreams of his offspring. Sunlight strikes from storm tossed skies on layered Labradorite in a release of mystic illumination first witnessed by Inuit ancestors. Subarctic pines, in their struggle to survive the harsh elements, reflect the colours found in rock and landscape. Witness the ebb and flow of millennia inherent in the Labrador winds. PRICE: $2,195.00

Know you have made a difference in the world in quiet and subtle ways. In ways that are hidden in the warm mist far from turmoil of the surface waves. Be still and absorb the rejuvenating spirit of sunset breezes.

    Reflections of Thomson

A young Tom Thomson living in urban surrounds, sought solitude in the majestic bluffs of Scarborough. Venturing further east he explored the calm of a lake named Scugog, where inspiration lead to the creation of Near Lake Scugog and Evening Lake Scugog. His gaze is distant, while his four legged companion’s is inward. Was this a sign of his bold interpretations of future northern landscapes? Look inward at your accomplishments and interactions that have proven to be a positive influence on the world, but also look ahead with determination and creativity for a future rich with a canvas filled with vibrant brush strokes. Could these be the lessons of Reflections of Thomson?

    The Painter

Brush strokes record this primal land in ways unseen before. Colour and textures are borrowed from the landscapes with imaginative flare, as thoughts of profit are replaced by the appreciation of nature’s priceless gifts. Seek the patience and understanding of names such as Thomson, Jackson, and Harris, as you pass through these lands. Their memories live forever in brief moments bathed in sunlit splendour and cloud shrouded mystery. Take time to pause, reflect, and admire this gift presented to all of us by the painter.

    Jack Pine Visions

More than one hundred years have passed over Achray landscapes. A guardian of the land, entrusted to protect the pillars of the forest, ventured along Grand Lake shores in search of inspiration. Across the waters of Carcajou Bay, violet horizons roll in serpentine rhythms, while foreground branches bow in sunbathed splendor. He ensured his dependent lived forever in his oil sketch, as rocky shores, pristine waters, and windswept Pines were the culmination of Thomson’s Jack Pine visions.
