Vigilance
Vigilance - Image 2

Vigilance

Shimmering hues of indigo and gold flicker from layered prisms deep within our souls. Changing light reflects the best in our spirit of empathy and kindness and envelops all we meet like roots of the mighty pine. Continue to be ever cognizant of those who suffer economic, emotional, or situational hardships, and be present with a listening ear. Stay steadfast with hawkish gaze for those who claim to speak for the greater good, yet oppress those who have no voice. Go forth with an aura of tolerance and love, and an understanding that true reconciliation originates from vigilance.

    Courage

A man weaves tales of this land through poetry and song. Senses are awakened by images of past glory, as well as those of immeasurable pain. Challenges are whispered, to all who will listen, from frail limbs and foreboding eyes. Chanie Wenjack’s secret path jolts us into uncomfortable realizations of historical disconnects, and untold misery on the tip of a Raven’s wing. Pearls of wisdom, spoken by a sister, seek a different world through truth and reconciliation. We are all connected to someone, as Gord is to Chanie. Follow the examples of those who came before us, and seek the strength to facilitate change. Let us dance for healing under the moonlight on ashes of love. All is possible with the promise and power of courage.

Entwined roots help them stand together in solidarity from the menace of the approaching Winter winds. Reflect on this country’s historic diversity. Rejoice in our differences, and continue to protect our Canadian trilogy.

    Celestial Light

We raised our eyes, three years past, to ribbons of glorious light dancing on cobalt skies. Shimmering translucence scattering untold diamonds in reflections of yesterday. We shed tears for the indiscretions of men, but bathe in the goodness and comfort of those around us. Lift up your spirits in the presence of others, for the world is a wondrous place. Take time to bask in the glow of the celestial light.

    Moonlight Embrace

We stand alone in silent reflection, remembering the day we have just shared. Each moment spent in appreciation for the presence of the other. Stars begin to scatter across a darkening sky, as rocky shores turn magically from solid monoliths to glassy, translucent points of light. The perfect ending to a day of discovery and love is captured in a moonlight embrace.
