Our life goals and dreams too often encounter changes in direction through no fault of our own and require major adjustments and sacrifices to get back on track. A young couple built a home and adorned it with children’s books in anticipation of a family that illness cruelly took away after only a decade together. The appearances of lone Cardinals often assure her of his presence and gift her with encouragement to move forward with her life. The following years saw her move through failed attempts to find love until she knew intuitively that a smiling face on a screen would be in her future. Dreams and goals differed and a four-year relationship ended but was destined to be renewed some day. Leaving urban life, she made a home with her aging father and over three years they became best friends. Again, illness robbed her of more time with him, but lone Blue Jays have often made her aware of his presence and support for a promising future. Her past love was never far away, and he became her guardian angel secretly performing tasks and proving to her that he was dedicated and was destined to be in her future forever. After making a promise to her ailing father that he would cherish and love her forever, he proposed marriage. On March 24, 2016 they were wed at a tiny, white, chapel adjacent to where the mighty Niagara River flows. Through tragedy, heartbreak, and determination there were no obstacles that would keep them apart and deny them the joy of finding love.
