Kayak Series #14

Kayak Series #14

This is the 14th sculpture in my Kayak Series. You will notice the edition number and my signature engraved on the back of the blue, glass kayak. It is one out of a small edition of twelve that I started to create in 2016, and Number 14 was made in October of 2024. The twelfth kayak in the series was the first to include a loon appearing to swim in the foreground and I have continued that trend here with not one but two loons swimming with the prevailing winds. I hope it brings back memories of paddling on your favourite lake or river whenever you view it. The stone that I selected for this piece comes from beautiful Lake Temagami in Northern Ontario. The sculpture really “comes to life” when placed by a window. PRICE: $775.00

    Muskoka Magic

The Autumn leaves shiver with excitement. The Pines bow to the winds as they whicper their secrets. A distant Loon laughs in reply to the whispering winds, and the stoic Granite remains silent knowing it is the foundation of all that is Muskoka magic.

    The Painter

Brush strokes record this primal land in ways unseen before. Colour and textures are borrowed from the landscapes with imaginative flare, as thoughts of profit are replaced by the appreciation of nature’s priceless gifts. Seek the patience and understanding of names such as Thomson, Jackson, and Harris, as you pass through these lands. Their memories live forever in brief moments bathed in sunlit splendour and cloud shrouded mystery. Take time to pause, reflect, and admire this gift presented to all of us by the painter.

This collector piece is one out of a growing edition that I started creating in 2016. You will notice that the edition number and the artist’s signature is engraved on the back of the kayak, so as more pieces are created in the Kayak Series in the future, the lower edition numbers will translate to an increase in value with the passage of time.

    Blue Mystique

I sit at the edge of day.  It is the beginning of night.  The sun exchanges places with the moon, and there is great stillness in the air.  The night is full of magic, but all that is heard is the echo of the loon’s call.  Blue Mystique envelopes those who will listen to the silence.  The silence that is you.
