Paddle Board Series #3

Paddle Board Series #3

This is only the third sculpture in my new Paddle Board Series. You will notice the edition number and my signature engraved on the back of the glass paddle board. This Paddleboard Series started in February of 2022 and this piece was created in November 2024. Even when I create more in the future, yours will always be the third paddle board that I’ve created in existence. Its value will only increase with the passage of time. The base I have used for this sculpture is a wonderful piece of striped stone from Lake Temagami in Northern Ontario. I hope that it reminds you of paddling on your favourite lake or river whenever you view it. The piece, with its two-toned blue paddle board, really “comes to life” when placed by a window, but you probably already have a location in mind for it.                PRICE: $595.00

    Jack Pine Visions

More than one hundred years have passed over Achray landscapes. A guardian of the land, entrusted to protect the pillars of the forest, ventured along Grand Lake shores in search of inspiration. Across the waters of Carcajou Bay, violet horizons roll in serpentine rhythms, while foreground branches bow in sunbathed splendor. He ensured his dependent lived forever in his oil sketch, as rocky shores, pristine waters, and windswept Pines were the culmination of Thomson’s Jack Pine visions.

    Night Birch

I hear the world differently than you. Visual cues present themselves, and guide me in ways unknown to most. I hear rustling leaves through oscillating shimmer, as they dance to an East wind’s command. The splash of a Northern Pike delights me, as ripples radiate then fade to still waters. A loon’s crimson eyes rise and fall in royal splendour, as its lonely call brushes my soul. Night falls as ashen shadows and azure skies cloak reflective silence. All who bear witness unite in my world. I am not alone in the presence of the night birch.
