Contrasting colours combine in a fleeting, ancient vision.  Whether we find ourselves in the shadows, or illuminated by the light, our island will anchor us all in strength, respect, and purpose.  Do not underestimate the power of diversity.

As the moon’s cycle continues, the island is bathed in nature’s ubiquitous greens. Stillness envelops all. The peace and tranquillity invokes reflections in all our souls.

I stand strong as a witness to a land of constant change. Constantinople’s walls remind all of a past overflowing with antiquities and ancient voices. East meets west as the winds of change slowly sweep this land in waves of reddish hues. Like a crescent moon rising from the arms of history, the Turkish people drift ever closer towards a modern society. Three hundred sixty-five leaves represent but one year in this slow transition in the passage of time. I stand as a guardian of this land’s history, and a witness to this country’s triumphant emergence.

How do you thank one you’ve held so close.  You have stood with me from infancy through adulthood with great sincerity  and compassion.  Lessons taught by a father reach further than those of daily life and sporting pursuits.  Observations of kindness, respect, and creative thought weave around me in a gentle embrace.  Your flame burns within me in an unbreakable bond between father and son.
